Shoreline Getaways is dedicated to acquiring cottage properties and making available to others the joy of that old fashioned Port Stanley cottage experience. The properties are all of humble origin and gradually we have invested in them to improve the standards, attempting to maintain the comfort of beach-side living.

Who we are:
Shoreline Getaways is owned and operated by the Hassan family, which is based in London, Ontario. Sharon and Hamoody Hassan, the principle owners of Shoreline cottages, work as lawyers in the city. Our extended family that has enjoyed these cottages through the years is a diverse collection of different cultures, ages and professions, including painters, writers, athletes and musicians. We welcome all kinds of families to enjoy Lake Erie getaway as we have done.
Limitations (Updated June 22, 2020 to include COVID-19 rules and limitations):
Guests use our cottages at their own risks. If you are ill or have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone who has or had symptoms of COVID-19 or have traveled outside of Canada within the last 14 days, please DO NOT ATTEND our cottages. You may contact us to discuss available options should you have to cancel your stay with us.
Cottagers are required to supply their own towels, linens, foodstuffs, soaps, and shampoos.
Shoreline Getaways will make every effort to clean and disinfect the cottages, and in particular, frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, faucet handles, tables, countertops, and electronics. However, we can not guarantee that there is not a possible threat of infection when using our cottages. Please wash your hands frequently and continue to follow Ministry of Health guidelines to stop the spread of infections.
There is no smoking permitted in our cottage due to the extreme sensitivity of some of our guests, and insurance regulations.
Pets are NOT permitted in properties at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
There are no keys since we use a locking code system.
An inventory is taken upon departure.
Q & A:
Question – Is there telephone, cable TV and Internet?
Answer – The cottage does not have land lines or cable TV. It does have wifi for guests. They do have TV’s with DVD and or VCR. Phone, cable or internet can be installed and uninstalled for long term rentals at the tenant’s expense.
Question – What type of downpayment is needed to book cottage?
Answer – For advanced summer bookings, half of the rental payment is required to confirm the booking, the other half is due by May 16 of the year you are booking. For all other bookings full payment is required to confirm the booking except for long term rentals. (See rates section for further details)
